CCS Alum and Fellows Nominated for SPX Ignatz Awards


The Center for Cartoon Studies Alum (Sophie Goldstein, Luke Howard, Dane Martin) and incoming Fellow Sophie Yanow are nominees for this year’s Ignatz Awards!  Alums Annie Murphy, Jose-Luis Olivares, Sasha Steinberg & recent Fellow Nicole Georges contributed to the nominated QU33R anthology!

Gay Genius Anthology Debuts

Gay Genius, a 144-page full color anthology celebrating the history and mystery of the queer experience, was just released from Sparkplug Comics.  This project  was spearheaded by editor and co-publisher Annie Murphy (CCS ’08).  Annie also contributed to the anthology, as  did fellow classmate Kubb E. CCS alum Annie Murphy’s I Still Live: Biography of a Spiritualist wins Xeric Self-Publishing Award


I Still Live is biography of a nineteenth-century Vermont spiritualist, Achsa Sprague.The novella is Murphy’s tribute to Achsa Sprague, and includes the backstory on how she discovered, and assembled the story. Congratulations Annie!
