Crop Circles

Crop Circles is a story about Jun. Jun is on a path toward a future she has no say in, and going to England to chase crop circles with her new friend Ellis isn’t part of the plan. Along the way Jun discovers queer feelings, and starts to make a future for herself. Crop Circles is a 215-page graphic novel pitch. The work consists primarily of thumbnailed pages and completed dialogue. An initial 16 pages were created as experimental samples of final work, and 11 final pages were created in color. Finished pages are pencil line art and a watercolor limited palette of greens, yellows and blues. In addition to Crop Circles this thesis includes four short projects: Abstract Comics, Dinosaurs Outside Every Window (A Dream Comic), Catfished, and Loud Places.
