(it’s easier than you think)

The Center for Cartoon Studies is looking for students who are committed to creating visual narratives. CCS welcomes comic and non-comic book geeks alike. We love art, english, writing, history, philosophy, religion, and graphic design majors, and those with a liberal arts or science background. Limited drawing skills are OK if they are offset by a fearless commitment to putting images on paper. We’ll help you get to where you want to go.

Admissions Application

If you can draw a snowperson, a robot and a piece of fruit then you’ll find this application process remarkably simple and fun. No test scores required for admission. We assess your work and life experience thus far, and recognize where your strength and skills excel.

Tuition and Loans

CCS is far more affordable than comparable programs. We’re all about more value and less debt. Tuition is based on one academic year. Click here for the academic year tuition rate and fees.

Vermont: Risks and Rewards

CCS is located in White River Junction, Vermont (lovingly referred to as “the Junc.”). Living in a small, remote, New England village offers numerous challenges and rewards. Click here to learn more about the village and Vermont and New Hampshire Upper Valley region.

The Accreditation Question

CCS is approved by the State of Vermont Agency of Education to award Master of Fine Arts degrees and certificates to eligible students. People sometimes ask us why isn’t CCS accredited? In fact, at this time, CCS chooses to remain unaccreditated for a few reasons. Read The Accreditation Question comic by Andy Warner ’12.
