Help CCS Wring Out The New Year

This past Thursday afternoon CCS had to evacuate The Colodny Building due to water damage caused by the sprinkler system. CCS’s production lab got hit especially hard and the damage is significant: furniture, computer equipment, publications, and more. We will know more about the extent of the damage in the coming weeks as well as when the building will again be operational.

The good news? The CCS community is amazing. Students, alumni, and staff, and neighbors were on the scene immediately. They saved what could be saved, hauled away what couldn’t, and helped reconfigure our other spaces so we won’t miss a beat when classes start on January 13. We will have a production lab somewhere. Comics will keep getting made.

Thanks to everyone who has expressed concern and offers of assistance. The best way to support the school at this time is to give to CCS’s annual campaign; this will give us the most flexibility as we recover. We’re going to be okay and appreciate your thoughts and support to ease the strain during the tough weeks ahead.
