The Center for Cartoon Studies was offered a challenge by The Office of Vermont’s Secretary of State and Vermont Humanities: create a graphic guide about the past, present, and promise of democracy and civics in our brave little state. FREEDOM AND UNITY is the answer to that challenge. You can use this graphic guide to learn more about Vermont, cartooning, and to use comics to teach civics and history. Copies of FREEDOM AND UNITY are will be distributed with partner organizations, given away at scheduled events, and can be purchased online or in-person at our local partner Norwich Bookstore.
