Eleri Harris ‘14 is an Eisner award-winning cartoonist, journalist, and editor based in Australia. Her non-fiction history, science, and news comics have been exhibited and published worldwide. Eleri was deputy editor and features editor at The Nib. She is also a regular guest lecturer in comics journalism at The Center for Cartoon Studies, California College of the Arts, and the University of Technology in Sydney. From 2019 to 2023, Eleri served as co-director of the Comic Art Workshop, a grassroots organization supporting remote residencies for ambitious comics projects. Earlier this year, Eleri published her first children’s book, A LOO OF ONE’S OWN, about the experiences of the first women elected to the Australian parliament.  You can find more information about Eleri’s work at eleriharris.com

Shay Mirk is an award-winning cartoonist, graphic journalist, editor, and teacher. In 2020, Shay’s BE GAY, DO COMICS (The Nib) won an Ignatz Award for best anthology. Shay is also the author of the Eisner-nominated comics anthology GUANTANAMO VOICES (Abrams, 2020), which Kirkus called “extraordinary… an eye-opening, damning indictment of one of America’s worst trespasses.” In 2023, they became a volunteer editor of the  Cartoonists for Palestine collective and are assisting with the publication of its first print anthology. In 2024, Shay launched the nonfiction comics press Crucial Comix with Audra McNamee, where they also teach editing and how to create memoir comics. Shay was also a 2023-24 Center for Cartoon Studies Fellow. In addition, Shay is a zine-maker and illustrator whose comics have been featured in The New Yorker, The Nib, Bitch, and NPR.
