Cartoonists’ take on Charley Harper: CCS at the Montshire Museum of Science

As part of their coursework this fall, CCS students created a one-page comic about some aspect of nature, using Charley Harper’s basic visual technique of incorporating geometric shapes and patterns. A number of these works will be on display at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont this winter, alongside Beguiled by the Wild: The Art of Charley Harper, an exhibition highlighting Harper’s iconic graphic style, focusing on his work connected with the natural world.

The exhibit will open at the Montshire on December 1, 2012 through February 3, 2013.

From the comic strip to the comic book to the graphic novel, The Center for Cartoon Archive includes all kinds of original cartoon art.
