White River Junction, VT - Acclaimed author Myla Goldberg will give
a reading and sign books on Tuesday April 18th from 7-8pm at the Main Street
Museum 58 Bridge Street in the village of White River Junction, Vermont.
Norwich Bookstore will be selling copies of Myla's books. Myla Goldberg's
novel Bee Season was named a New York Times Notable Book in 2000 and made
into a 2005 film staring Richard Gere. Goldberg is also the author of Time's
Magpie, a book of essays about Prague. Her most recent novel is Wickett's
Remedy. Her short stories have appeared in Harper's, McSweeney's. She lives
in Brooklyn, New York. Myla's reading is a fundraiser for the Main Street
Museum and she appears courtesy of The Center for Cartoon Studies. Admission
is free to Main Street Museum members and $5 donation is welcome from non-members.
THE CENTER FOR CARTOON STUDIES, offering one and two-year
courses of study, is designed for a small group of dedicated highly creative
students with a passion and appreciation for graphic novels, storytelling,
writing, comics, and design. Experienced and internationally recognized
cartoonists, writers, and designers will teach classes. The school is located
in downtown White River Junction, Vermont in the historic Colodny Surprise
Department Store building.
