Co-released with Breaking World Records, DIY Bandits, Feeding Tube Records, Friends and Relatives Records, and Lost Sound Tapes, six labels in all. A charming mix of twee instrumental punk, weird spoken word, and lo-fi acoustic ditties, edition of 300.

Venture deep into the catacombs and let the slime drip down your spine...over a half hour of dank and glittering synth-work from Michael Troutman. Emeralds-heads take note, with countless cassettes under his belt from places like Night People and Scumbag Relations and, shockingly, no vinyl treatment thus far, this might be his most composed work to date. Edition of 100.

FAX 026: Shep and Me / Tracey Trance split C38

Psych-folk troubadour and Minnesota viking Matthew Himes opens up with some drifting ditties and outer world caterwauling (and even a Throbbing Gristle cover), and Tracey gathers a band on the B side, a quartet of Bloomington heavy-hitters covering the roamin' gnome's greatest hits. Edition of 100, labels are hand-painted with coffee!

FAX 013: Happy Jawbone Family Band - "On the Wrong Side of the Candy Machine" CD-R

I'm actually pretty disappointed that the most I could do for this album was to release it in CD-R format when it really deserves so much more. Still, Brattleboro's (by way of Colorado) Happy Jawbone Family Band has made one of the most creative and exciting pop records I have heard in years, with 40 songs and over an hour of music that will capture your heart, feed it LSD, dance to records with it all night, then tuck it in with a kiss as the sun rises. For fans of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, Maher Shalal Hash Baz, the Beatles, music, etc. Discs come wrapped in cardstock in a hand-numbered edition of 100, sealed in poly bags with a lollipop! Get them tambourines in tune, babay...

NOTE: Due to the summer heat and my own delinquency, a large portion of the lollipops packaged with this CD melted. Consequently, all further outgoing copies will not include candy, and will only have polybags while supplies last. I gurantee that you will still get a quality, undamaged product, and the price has also been reduced by a dollar to reflect this boo-boo. That's what I get for trying to be cute...

FAX 012: Sord - "Endless Muselike Vision" C30

A demented duo from Brattleboro, VT, Sord is lookalike lovers, like Mates of State but totally fucked. Featuring members of acts like Nals Goring, Horse Boys, Jordan Piper Philips, and Heat Wilson, this cassette is 30 minutes of aggressive pop drive-by, tape manipulation, and the skewed skits of Russian immigrants. More recently having changed their name to Blanche Blanche Blanche and expanding into a live quartet known as Easy Street, this may just be one of the last few Sord recordings to exist. Comes sealed in a small manila envelope with xerox insert and features partial production work from Chris Cooper of Fat Worm of Error fame.
